In February of 2006 Garden Spot Village, a health care services pioneer in Pennsylvania, introduced Garden Spot Village At Home, a wholly owned subsidiary and LLC of Garden Spot Village.  Within a year Garden Spot Village At Home enrolled over 100 highly satisfied clients on campus.  In February of 2007 we began to serve clients in the greater New Holland community.

As Garden Spot Village strives to carry out its mission, “Enriching the lives of older adults as an expression of Christ’s love,” it looks for ways to be a good neighbor and reach out into the greater community with services representative of the excellence and hospitality that people expect of Garden Spot Village.  The Center for Health at Garden Spot Village and Adult Day Services at Garden Spot Village are good examples. In that tradition the idea for Garden Spot Village At Home was born.

“We discovered” says Steve Lindsey, Garden Spot Village CEO, “that people were asking for personal care services in their home.  People needed help getting their day started after surgery or a stay in the hospital.  Some just needed a little help now and then.  We recognized it as an opportunity to take some of the personal care services that we are known for in our healthcare facilities and offer them directly in people’s homes on campus.  The services have been very well received and appreciated.  The word got out and people in New Holland began to ask if we would come to their homes as well.”
